About Southgate Co-op Senior Apartments

Southgate Co-op Senior Apartments is conveniently located on Allen Road between Northline Road and Goddard Road. Heritage Park, Wayne County Community College and Southland Center are nearby. Regular trips to Southland Center and Meijer, other trips are planned events to Frankenmuth, Mt. Pleasant, Turkeyville and other places of interest. Come along and make friends, play bingo, cards, put together puzzles or enjoy the craft room. There is also a game room for those that enjoy a friendly game of pool or if you like the library, relax and read a book too. You may be interested in relaxing outside and enjoying the gardens.

Southgate Co-op is gradually transforming into a 100% smoke free co-op; smoking is not allowed in any common area or within 25 feet of the building. There are a few members who are still permitted to smoke in their own apartments, because they signed a waiver prior to the full implementation of the new smoking rules. All new members as of March 22, 2018, are not allowed to smoke inside their own apartment.

Eligibility: persons aged 62 years or older: a limited number of apartments are available for younger persons who are mobility impaired and need the special design features of an accessible unit.
