About Cristo Rey Apartments

Cristo Rey Family Housing includes 17 buildings: 3 duplex, 3 tri-plex, and 9 four-plex buildings planned around a central plaza. The development also includes a 3,200 square foot community facilities building for Catholic Families Child Services and a 2,500 square foot community building which serves as a community gathering place for children and families to interact and learn computer skills.

The design layout of the units, community building, and play areas at Cristo Rey create a safe and attractive space focused on families and children. Cristo Rey is located 40 miles southeast of Yakima, in Sunnyside, Washington. A separate community facilities building for the Catholic Families Children's Services have their lower Yakima Valley offices adjacent to the property that houses a community computer room and provides a gathering space for resident councils, community celebrations, educational classes, and visiting social service providers.

This property is for farm workers and their families earning at or below 40 percent of area median income. Income must consist of at least $3000 annually from farm work. The development offers 50 tax credit townhouse style units with a mix of two-, three- and four-bedrooms. This property does not offer directly subsidized units, but we gladly accept Section 8 vouchers.
