The Becker County Economic Development Authority (EDA) was formed in May 1997, via an enabling County resolution and State legislation. The Authority is governed by a board of seven members appointed by the Becker County Board. The Authority has all the powers, rights, duties and obligations conferred by Minn. Stat. 469.090.1081 to promote and provide incentives for economic development.
In 1999, the County Board transferred the Housing and Redevelopment Authority into the EDA bringing with it Section 8 and Public Housing programs and funds.
