The Housing Authority of the County of San Joaquin is accepting applications for the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) waiting list from October 22nd, 2018 until November 5th through 11:59PM.
To apply, visit the official application page here during the application period and complete the online application.
Paper copies of the application will not be accepted, the only way to apply is online. If you do not have a computer, you may complete your application by visiting your local library.
Wait lists for specific preferences including Advancement from Transitional Housing Assistance, Mainstream Vouchers, and Victims of Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, Sexual Assault and Stalking or other violent crimes who reside in San Joaquin County continuously accept applicants.
Lottery selection: After the wait list lottery closes, 10,000 pre-applications will be randomly selected for placement on the wait lists with claimed preferences. You will receive an email by November 30, 2018, confirming whether or not your pre-application was selected in the lottery. The time and date of receipt of the pre-application during the open period have no bearing on whether a pre-application will be selected.
