About Housing Authority of Clackamas County (HACC)

Created in 1938, the Housing Authority of Clackamas County (HACC) was the first public housing authority in the state of Oregon. HACC also has the distinction of having developed Oregon's first public housing project in 1940.

HACC is a public corporation, established under the federal Housing Act of 1937 and the provisions of Chapter 456 of the Oregon Revised Statutes. Although it is a separate entity, the Housing Authority falls under the administrative structure of Clackamas County government.

The mission of Housing Authority of Clackamas County (HACC) is providing affordable, safe, decent, and sanitary housing opportunities in a fiscally responsible manner to low-income people in Clackamas County.
