The AHA owns and manages 263 units of affordable housing which is subsidized through a number of Massachusetts State housing programs. The inventory consists of 205 units of elderly/disabled housing, 50 units of multi-bedroom family housing and 8 units of housing for the chronically mentally ill. In most cases ,residents pay no more than 30% of their monthly adjusted income for rent. We also administer Federal Housing programs: 62 Housing Choice Vouchers and a 24-unit federally subsidized program for men in recovery with history of drug and alcohol abuse.
